Rako Controls and Unique Automation

One of the leading companies in providing state of the art dimming technology is Rako Controls. Unique Automation’s engineering team have partnered with Rako engineers to offer a single wireless module control panel that will manage both Rako’s lighting systems and Unique Automation’s bathomatic bath management systems by the use of one simple to use, easily installed and cost effective universal wireless module control panel.

In future, all Rako 7 button module control panels will have the option for bathomatic functionality, enabling remote running of baths, in a hotel for example, using presets 1 to 4 on multi bathomatic systems, perfect for installation where structural cabling is not in place. Any new Rako installation can use bathomatic’s functions and existing systems can be upgraded. Equally, and in future, all bathomatic digital touch screens will also be able to control Rako lighting systems.

Installation of the control panel module is quick and effortless. There is no need for rewiring. The panel can provide all the benefits of a sophisticated lighting control system and a digital bath management system but without the hassle of re-wiring. One control panel for both applications. Surface or flush mounting options have no necessity for either back-boxes or wires of any sort.

The module control panel can be quickly and easily installed into any environment, domestic or commercial, from hotel bedrooms to health farms or even luxury ocean going yachts. Available in a wide range of standard finishes including brushed and polished stainless steel with custom finishes available to order.

Dimmer Modules

There is a module control panel to suit all load types. With so many light sources now available we can provide modules for incandescent, low voltage, LEDs, colour changers, cold cathode, fluorescent and non-dimmed loads. Be as adventurous as you wish in the lighting design, and then choose the modules to suit. Combine mood lighting design into your bathroom and control a bathomatic bath management system at the same time. In future you will be able to use the digital touch screen for the bathomatic to control your Rako lighting system. The combinations are impressive.

The control panel modules simply wire in-line with the lighting circuit and can be located in ceiling voids and fitted through a standard down-light cut out. Modules can also be wired in-line and plugged into your nearest socket.

For larger lighting installations or multi control of bathomatic systems, in a hotel for example, when centralising wiring, choose Rako’s rack option. 4 channel packs can be stacked to create 8, 12 or 16 channel racks. Each stack requires an Rx-Link receiver unit which can be mounted anywhere in the building. Multiple stacks can be used together and will integrate seamlessly with existing range of modules and accessories.

The range of dimmer modules are hard fired and use leading edge digital technology. The units store the house and room address plus four preset scene levels in a non volatile memory. Robust design features include auto-resetting over current and temperature shutdown and voltage surge protection. Versions are available for ceiling or in-line mounting.

Software & Accessories

The Rako RASOFT software allows configuration and programming of a system without wires. Program a whole home, creating new rooms as you go, setting scenes and maybe changing fade rates. Set changing mood lighting in a bathroom to accompany bathing. Many advanced features are available, including room grouping to facilitate master controllers.

For ultimate flexibility, choose from the range of modular accessories. These include a hand held remote, single and bi-directional RS232 interface, infrared to RF converter, SMS text receiver, booster, DMX512 driver, partition module, volt-free interface, Living Control gateway and Astro timeclock with advanced macro programming features

Let our accessories compliment the security of your home by linking the system to a security alarm that will bring the lights on in the event of activation. You can also turn lights on automatically at dusk, program a sequence or let the time clock replay normal occupancy whilst you take a holiday.

Curtain Blinds & Screens

Integrate the control of curtains, blinds and screens into one single control panel module available in 3 and 6 button panels. The RACUB module takes care of the motor switching and can be activated from any of our controllers including the wall panels, time clock, SMS and RS232 modules.
